Sunday School

I used to love kids and treat them out of the ordinary.
As my parents started to devote their selves in church, same with my two sisters who were addicted in attending different activities in our church, I was left behind since my schedule didn’t allow me to join any small groups.

My mom started to teach kids ages 7 years old and above. So by 7am, she’s already awake and ready to go and teach these kids who were left at the room by their parents during the time of worship.

Being so ‘madaldal’, mom kept on bragging her experiences during the time that she’s teaching these kids, as per her they were calling her ‘teacher’ which I wanted to be called too.

Well, to be honest, I wanted to become a teacher (it is one of my dream job aside from being a doctor/nurse).

Thinking that it will be fun joining this kind of activity, I asked my mom to bring me to their Sunday school lead so I can try it too.

The kids during their coloring activities - they were not complete here since some of them were still playing and watching tv.

One Sunday, she brought me to their lead and I was assigned to handle kids’ ages 3-5yrs old, of course I was so excited!

Aside from me, there is this girl who is really handling these kids during second worship, I was partnered to her.

As we started handling them, I really don’t know where to start. What will I tell them and what to do until this little boy came at my front and asked me to remove his jacket.

So I said OK, then I removed it. After that, he showed me his batman shirt. He said ‘ganda ng t-shirt ko no? Si batman to ehh’, and he is smiling the entire time that he is boasting his batman shirt to me. So I smiled and said ‘ay ang cute nga, sige play ka lang dyan’ then he left.

Then I realized that he just wanted to show his shirt reason why he asked me to remove his jacket. Haha!

I asked this boy to smile, he said 'ayaw ko po' but he still looked at me and smile. =)

Another little boy caught my attention and he’s treating me like his ‘ate’. He said ‘gusto ko ng tubig’, so fine I went to the water dispenser and took cold water for him. After sipping just a little amount of water, he looked at me and gave back the glass of water with this message ‘ang lamig naman! Parang galing sa aircon!’ then he grin.

Wow diba?!
Well, a lot of things happened that day and I really treasured that moment.

She's cute right? Lovely girl =)

A lot of activities have been prepared for them. They watched ‘UP’ and do some colouring activities.

After this task of mine, I am so stressed, but I don’t mind it anyway. I enjoyed my time I spent with them; they were so sweet and bubbly.

Hoping for a second round, soon!
